New API Docs and AI Chat improvements
API docs
We have released a new Retreaver API documentation section that is easier to navigate and will provide a foundation for our efforts to expand and improve the Retreaver API.
What's new:
- API docs are available in AI Assistant on learn
- A new Introduction to API document
- Support for code examples in multiple languages (Node.js/Ruby/Python)
- "Copy as Markdown" and an LLMs.txt file makes it easier for an AI agent to consume our API docs
- We also conducted a general clean up and review of our existing API docs

AI Assistant improvements
We launched an AI Assistant chat on learn.retreaver.com earlier this year and are happy to see it has become a popular feature on Retreaver. If you haven't tried it yet you can ask questions about Retreaver and the AI will give you responses from our Documentation and API reference docs.
We recently released some improvements to AI Assistant:
- Upgraded to the latest frontier LLM model
- Chat history
- Now provides shorter responses for simple questions, longer when needed
- Better handling for multiple questions in a single chat thread
We are also constantly expanding our documentation coverage which is the best way to improve AI responses. If you see any gaps in our documentation please let us know.
