New Release: Outbound Configuration Options
Overview
We have introduced new outbound configuration settings located directly on the Postback Key. They were released sometime ago for specific companies and are now release to all.
This feature gives you granular control over the volume of requests triggered by specific keys, effectively allowing you to manage "request bandwidth" across your ecosystem.
Why this matters
In high-volume environments, buyers often face "request fatigue" or technical strain when flooded with too many pings. Retreaver could send them "a billion" request every second, but then now calls would happen at all. This update solves the common issue of buyers complaining about over-saturation, while giving you the tools to prioritize your most valuable traffic sources.
Key Benefits
- Request Throttling: Define exactly how many requests a Postback Key can trigger to prevent "buyer abuse" from high-frequency pings.
- Bandwidth Allocation: Strategically dedicate higher bandwidth to premium publishers, ensuring their requests take priority.
- Buyer Relationship Management: Proactively limit traffic to buyers who have specific capacity constraints, reducing the likelihood of pings being ignored or blocked.
- Publisher Optimization: Identify and restrict publishers who are sending excessive, low-quality requests that eat up your system's resources.
How to Use
Navigate to your Campaign/Buyer/Publisher > Postback Key settings.
Locate the new Outbound Configuration section.
Set the maximum request threshold based on your buyer's capacity or the publisher's priority level.
Note: This feature is now available to all users. We recommend reviewing your top-performing publishers first to ensure they have the necessary bandwidth allocated to maximize their conversion potential.
